Who We Are

Who We Are

Our Beginning

Christian Chapels International began from the vision of Dr. Stanley Mutunga. Between the years of 2000 and 2005 Dr. Mutunga lost 2 brothers to AIDS. This tragedy opened his eyes to vast needs of AIDS orphans in his hometown and the plight of those suffering with HIV all over Kenya. And so he founded Tumaini International Ministries to meet the unique cultural and economic needs of AIDS orphans in Kenya. God blessed Stanley’s vision and between 2002 and 2009 this ministry grew from 15 orphans to over 1000!

Tumaini International Ministries brought RESTORATION to families who were desperate for help. But the work wasn’t done! Soon, people began to ask for more than orphan sponsorship, they wanted a NEW WAY to do church. Their desire wasn’t simply for a building; they wanted spiritual leaders who knew that the LOCAL CHURCH is called to renew whole communities.

Not wanting to divide its time between orphan-care and church planting Tumaini International Ministries decided to create an affiliate ministry to champion this request for CHURCH RENEWAL. And so, Christian Chapels International was founded!

Our beginning defines us. We serve new and existing churches around the world because we believe that the local church is the HOPE of the world.
